An inspired and passionate drummer Lee J Murray (born 14 May 1970 in Edgware, London) was also responsible for most of the backing vocals for the 90′s pop rock band Let Loose. Credited with drums, backing vocals and percussion, Lee also helped co write, and took centre stage as lead vocalist for numbers which included the perennial fan’s favourite “Shame”.
As one third of Let Loose alongside Richie Wermerling and Rob Jeffrey, Lee toured the UK extensively and notched up a series of hit singles and two albums.
Lee also worked with I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here presenters Ant and Dec during their time as pop duo PJ and Duncan, co-writing their hit “Girlfriend”.
In the years following the break up, Lee has carved out a varied career within the entertainment industry. His career has encompassed a wide variety of roles which have ranged from being a DJ to a respected session drummer to tour manager. Lee has also composed music for ITV. He has worked within the industry with Ronan Keating, Cyndi Lauper, Lisa Stansfield, Kelly Brook and Westlife. Lee has also worked in management with Holly Valance.
Lee is also a trained actor and presenter. His acting work includes parts in ITV’S “William and Mary” and BBC’S “Top Gear”.
In September 2008 Lee and Richie reunited in the studio to write and record together under the Let Loose name , for the first time in over a decade. During this time they co penned the glorious ballad Paint It In Gold which was to become the title track and the foundation for the album of the same name released last year.
When he isn’t working hard, Lee is a keen sportsman who is about to take his black belt in karate.
